What We Do & What It Means

Rule 35 Exam Observation

We accompany your client to their DME to bring an unbiased medical eye and ear to the exam room.

You get a detailed report of the nurse’s observations..

We screen your case for merit before you commit your resources, keeping you out of the money pit dug with unnecessary pursuits.

You get your client’s medical records analyzed by an expert, determining support for your claim.  If your case doesn’t have merit, we’ll tell you straight up.  If it does, give us the go ahead and we’ll start the affidavit.

We pinpoint the cause of damages, upping your leverage in negotiations.

You get various points of view, not just the physicians.  For example, a nurse not only interacts with all involved in patient care, but also is responsible for charting and preserving the medical record.  This alone makes a nurse exceptionally adept in finding deviations in care.

Standards of Care

We define, research, and locate deviations in Standards of Care in all disciplines and specialties, optimizing your causal arguments.

You get diverse expertise with the highest regard for making things right, no matter who is at fault.  We sift through the records for deviations which may occur in places you least expect.

Please call us or fill out the contact form for a specific proposal.

Medical Chronology

We rigorously analyze records for important medical events and summarize them for you, revealing the causes and/or land mines in your case.

You get a customized chronology with as much or as little analysis as you want.  At no additional charge, we’ll provide a redacted document without analysis for distribution to the expert witnesses (this saves a ton of time on the expert’s part).

Please call or fill out the contact form for an estimate, which is based upon the volume of records.

We bring a clinical eye to your discovery documents and depositions, knowing that policy in writing and policy in practice can be vastly different.

You get a licensed nurse’s methodical approach to discovery, which can be a treasure trove when you know the who, what, where and why of practicing providers.  Whether having a nurse review hospital policies or simply be present at deposition, you have the power of practical experience in your hand.

We coordinate with competent testifying experts, eliminating the guesswork with how your expert will react under oath.

You get expert witnesses whose knowledge, experience, and objectivity stand against the pressure of opposing counsel.  Testifying experts MUST be credible stewards of case facts to attorneys and jurors as well.  To assist with that, Parks Place meets with the attorney and expert for case strategy.
